Synopsis of College Bound
College Bound;
The Official Guide to Playing College Baseball (formerly titled
Baseball Playing Outside the Lines )was first published in 1997. Now,
in 2005 it has been dramatically improved with new and more content to
better reflect the nature of how college recruiting and player
exposure has changed.
Despite he increase in
training centers and "placement' services, one thing remains the same: it takes work on the student athlete's part to find a program with
the right fit! This book will help you do that, and put it in the
context of the recruiting scramble that hits in your junior year.
College coaches still rely on their own judgment when it comes to
deciding what player is worth a spot on their roster, scholarship list
or even preferred admissions list. No recruiting service is going to
change how a coach feels about you. Your job is to present yourself in
the best light to coaches at schools where you can handle the academic
challenge and compete for time on the field.
We have included a lot of information about recruiting,
showcases, various college options, what coaches look for, etc - but
there is a great deal of information about things like being a
mentally tough player, being a faster and stronger player and being a
player who understand his role on and off the field. These are
all things that will help you be a recruited player.
Review the chapters, read the excerpts, check out some testimonials
and make your decision. I guarantee that you will like the book and
find it helpful.
Enjoy and good luck.
